Quiet Touch (QT):
Boost Your Feel-Good Juice, Oxytocin

Guide Me Through Using Quiet Touch!

Guide Me Through Using Quiet Touch!

This video is meant to walk you through using the concept of Quiet Touch.

You might want to skim through the information below before you dive in...

Perhaps you've heard of things called neurotransmitters... and what are they again?

Neurotransmitters are the messages (transmitters) that a neuron (neuro) sends. Basically, they're the way your nervous system and cells talk to each other.

There are many identified neurotransmitters (think 40+) and they have a few common functions; some neurotransmitters excite, inhibit, modulate or oversee.

When you think of it like that, what do you think would happen if your body was creating a lot of messages that excite? Something like adrenaline (technically called epinephrine) falls in this category. What if your body was in the pattern of creating a lot of adrenaline? How do you think you would feel?

On the other side of the spectrum are messengers like oxytocin. Oxytocin is often labeled “the feel-good transmitter” because it is the same one released when we feel connected, safe and loved.

As you might recall from Reset Breath, there are several reasons why it's helpful for your Skin Suit to be nice and calm, with all connections and signals balanced.

Quiet Touch (QT) stimulates the flow of oxytocin, therefore giving you even more of a calm boost.

To do Quiet Touch:

  • Place your left hand on your chest

  • Place your right hand on your lower abdomen, almost so your thumb could rest in your belly button

  • Let your elbows fall to a natural position; don’t prop them on a table or chair armrests.

  • Quiet Touch can be done alone, but often is done at the same time as the Reset Breath, which we call RBQT-18".
